Universal Studios Florida part of the Universal Orlando resort, home to Islands Of Adventure and City Walk. You can also stay at the other on-site hotel, The Hard Rock Hotel and you can enjoy the same multiple extra benefits as you can staying at The Portofino Bay. For more details just click on the name of the place you want details on!

Universal Studios Orlando is situated between Islands Of Adventure and City Walk. First opening in 1990 millions of guests each year get to go behind the scenes and straight into some of the best loved films of all time to literally "live the movies."

New to Universal Studios is the revolutionary, No Line, No Wait Program which means No Problem for All Guests. Thanks to this new program guests no need ever wait in a lengthy theme park line again. Everyone who comes through the gates will have quick easy access to virtually all the park's most popular rides and attractions. This allows you to not get fed up with those huge lines, as there won't be any! If you get a Multi-Day ticket you can choose times and receive express passes to experience up to three rides, by presenting you park ticket at any Universal Express distribution center. When it's your time you simply show your Express Pass at the attraction for entry, then you can get another pass! Single-Day holders can do the same but only get two times rather than three. On-Site hotel guests however can get No Line, No Wait access throughout the day just by showing your room key at the entrance to the ride or attraction. The No Line, No Wait program really is useful, and saves lodes of time whilst in the park. However as we were staying at the Portofino Bay Hotel, we had unlimited No Line, No Wait. We simply choose our attraction and entered the signposted line, which never took more than 20 minutes, even if the main line was over 2 hours!

The park is quite simply one stunning day out with breath-taking, gasp-making, awe-inspiring attractions, shows and land. Throughout the park you will notice props from your favorite movies, recognize London, or see Jaws.

You shouldn’t decide to just walk round the park to see the brilliant sights you should get riding, and every ride is worth one. “Terminator 2 :3-D is a virtual adventure making it the most elaborate and technologically advanced experience ever created. An innovative 12-minute 3-D film which features the cast and crew from the Terminator films, puts gusts smack in the middle of the action through innovative 3-D film-making, live action stunt work and state-of-the-art special effects." It’s a show, which shows you the great things Universal can do on the screen, if of course their blockbuster movies such as Jurassic Park haven’t already done that! The pre-show can be a bit tedious due to its length but it’s extremely realistic, so when you go into the auditorium, you’re ready for the action, which is about to commence. At times you can’t believe you eyes, the clear 3D film mixes effortlessly with the live action on stage. You really do have to see this, through your 3D glasses of course to believe it.

Back To The Future The Ride lets you fly in the Delorean through to the Ice Age and the year 2015. A very realistic simulator ride, with a good story line is the essence of this ride, the pre show runs throughout the queue line immersing you in the story, and theme of the ride and your totally immersed in that until the exit of the ride, go on….send yourself back to the future! Men In Black – Alien Attack is right next door to Back To The Future, but is a completely different attraction. Joining the team from the movie you go on a  training mission, complete with your own laser guns in the cars. Then you go round shooting the aliens. This ride is Fun with a capital “F” it’s a ride you can go on over and over again, because every ride gives different adventures depending on your car’s score.  The ride is the world's first life-size, ride through interactive video game experience and the first attraction where guests determine each ride's outcome by their individual and collective abilities. For the first time in theme park ride history you can also compete with the vehicle next to you, with a score being calculated for each car. Riding in high-tech "MIB training vehicles" through a huge New York steer set and outfitted with "alien zappers" guests try to zap more than 120 animatronic aliens they encounter. It has 12 different endings and thousands of different ride experiences, based upon your scores.  MIB is just one example of Universal’s commitment to Theme Park’s and movies. Introducing new attractions and experimenting with new technology, makes your visit a blockbusting one!

Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone features 12,500 foam balls, 15,000 gallons of water, and a rollercoaster. The Kid Zone combines Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster and Curious George Goes To Town. Et Adventure and the shows Animal Actors Stage and A Day in the Park with Barney are also found here. Kids will love this area, with rides suiting the most adventurous youngsters, and those a lots less adventurous.

Twister..Ride It Out is based on the hit film Twister, guests are placed a mere 20 feet away from the awesome live spectacle of a five-story tornado. 2,400 guests per hour encounter intensifying winds and pounding rain as they brave Mother Nature's fury in this attraction. It is the Mother of attractions, one that when seen up close will leave your jaw dropped and your mouth going, “WOW!” to see a twister, fog, wind, rain, flying cows and fire all before you eyes makes this the attraction you talk about all day. Twist on down to Twister, and Ride It Out!

Don’t miss out on seeing two of the silver screens most dangerous creatures, King Kong and Jaws. Journey in a boat round Amity in Jaws, and prepare to be afraid, of the realistic and terrorizing shark. Some of the younger kids will be too afraid, but those who can handle it will experience a multitude of thrills. You’ll be humming the theme tune to Jaws all day after this stunner. In King Kong you try, but to no avail to escape New York whilst Kong is on the loose. In trams high above the highly realistic New York Streets you encounter the banana breathed beast, and yes you can smell that breath. Dropping up and down whilst the monkey attacks you is great fun, with a small fear factor, this is a ride which everyone should enjoy…..unless you don’t like monkeys! Planet Of The Apes, hah! King Kong is the main monkey round here!

Compared to Universal Studios Hollywood, there isn’t much in it. I preferred the atmosphere at Universal Hollywood, and the fact that it is more of a real movie studio. The staff were brilliant at both parks. There is a much l

Larger collection of rides at Universal Orlando, such as Jaws, King Kong, Earthquake and ET, which make the day less relaxing but a lot more thrilling. Universal Studios Orlando, is a paradise of a park, with enough rides to keep you busy for a day.
