Chessington World of Adventures is a great family park as it appeals to all age groups. It is by far the best themed park in the country and each land with its own unique themeing will blow you away! There are characters on site as well who live in certain lands, making it like Disney World but a typically English Version. With a great mix of Thrill, Fun and Family rides there is no better park for a family day out.

Beano Land opened in 2000 and is themed on the famous British Comic "The Beano." The whole land is exquisitely themed. You enter the land under the huge sign, which are actually two large catapults! On your left is the usual batch of shops and sideshows, all with the Beano Theme, for a change though these are inviting, mainly due to the excessive themeing! On your left is a massive Beano Fountain, which is used, for the stunt show as it Dennis's Treehouse. Then you have a Waveswinger no sorry a Watery Waveswinger, called, "Billy’s Whizzers"

A Normal fast waveswinger but with water shooting up from the ground at you, to get you wet, amazingly themed and wicked fun! The ride consists of lots of chair, like swings on a main circular tower, which spins, making you spin at the same time. You also have "Rogers Dodgems", simply dodgems, but this is Beano Land so they are all based on Dennis, Knasher, Minni, Walter, and Roger, yes the famous Beano Characters! You get a nice long ride on them, and you have just got to hear that music!! The Q for the Dodgems is great, and all curvy, no straight lines, something-new original and importantly just how the kids like it!

Another main attraction of Beano Land is 3 amazing stunt shows, which are all a must see! One features Dennis and Minnie, on the fountain, don’t stand too close if you want to stay dry! This is unusual and exciting, ending with Dennis being pushed into the sky by water! It must be seen to be believed! Also there is a show on top the of the buildings, with Dennis and Knasher and a rocket launcher, which ends with Dennis being flung 50ft in the air! Finally there is one on Dennis's Treehouse, with Walter, which ends with Walter being flung into a brick wall! Comedy, stunts and fun stories are all part of these unique shows.

Set at the back of the park is the China style land the Mystic East, home to the Mighty Samurai and the Log Flume Dragon Falls. As the rest of the park it is excellently themed, as you enter you can hear the screams from the Samurai and see it there in its amazing Red and Black colors! The Samurai is by far the best ride in the park for thrill seekers. It is so hard to describe but every ride is different and it is mad…very mad and very intense.

Then you have Dragon falls, not the longest, wettest or highest log flume around but it is a fun one! With an amazing splashing (yep no soaking wetness for a cold day in England!) final drop right onto a river. As you drop you are looking at Samurai and falling down two giant Buddha heads on walls! The ride its self keeps the Chinese themeing very well, with a "bamboo" q-line and a drop into a giant dragon’s mouth as part of the ride. Unfortunately it always has rather large lines but it looks like it will have Virtual Q-ing for this season!

Moving on to Mexican, the themeing changes into an Egyptian/Mexican feel, very yellow and brown! Terrortomb is now housed in the old 5th Dimension building and it a great family ride, where you find the curse of a mummy! Great fun and great songs, something that you might expect In a Disney park, it is original, different and imaginative. Give it a go, it’s a laugh! You also have the second main Thrill Ride in the park, Rameses Revenge, a Top Spin with water jets but, there are 4 dry seats so you can get a good spin and stay dry. It has an excellent line over the top of buildings and then dropping down into the ride! The ride consists of a large gondola, with two rows. When you are seating the bars come down, and you are ready to go. The tension builds up as you slowly begin to move, then before you know it you and being spin upside down! The water jets just miss you…lucky us you may think as the ride stops at the top. Then on come the jets again, as you are slowly suspended headfirst into them. Dryness now is not an option! You also will find the Rattlesnake, a new generation Wild Mouse! It is a steel coaster dropped into a large hole. It incorporates the tight bends and humps from the classic Wild Mice but with an extra dimension, of it being steel, and a much smoother ride. A Thrilling and fun ride which is not even painful for a Wild Mouse! You will also find the Runaway Mine Train, which is your fast adventure into the Wild Wild West! Controlled by the magnets/electricity, this coaster is one for the first time riders, which will leave them with a sense of accomplishment, and be raring to ride again.

You can also find in Chessington a great Zoo, with Penguin and Sealion shows, along with lots of interesting animals, which makes it the perfect place to have a rest from the rides, and enjoy looking at the animals. In the Market Square you can find all your eateries and should you be requiring a snack. You can also find Toy Town for the kiddies with a great variety of rides. Then there is also a massive area of land for picnics but then you will find lurking behind the tree TRANSYLVANIA!

The first ride that you will find here is Professor Burps Bubble Works! A fun family water ride through a fizzy drink factory, concluding in a small drop and some remarkable effects with fountains. Its always good to go on this as it is so nicely themed and designed, with a great little drop and some very bad puns!

You will also hear a might roar in Transylvania of the Vampire, Britain's first and only hanging coaster designed by John Wardley. It is now past its best and not the greatest ride on the coaster market, but when it opened it was mad! It is though a good coaster for all the family (over a certain height!) It does have shoulder restraints and two lift hills and is a bit slow for most of the ride with just a few little helixes and corners but lots of swinging, but there is one amazing bit! The drop underground is very fast and height and the bats all turn onto their sides, a great thrilling moment. The whole ride has a Vampire themeing with Bats as the trains but the station is one of the best designed I have ever seen. Themed like the Vampires castle there is a giant organ in the corner with a man playing it and turning round into the Vampire, it really adds some tension and an extra level of thrills to the ride.

Chessington doesn't have the scariest rides in the world, but it is a Fun Park and well worth the visit. It’s not far from the center of London then many tourists do visit it, and I would urge you to do the same. Chessington is defiantly many worlds in one and a hell of a lot of adventure!
