On Thursday the 9th January at 11pm thousands of people were packed into the Hippodrome, thousands of people stayed there for four hours, thousands of people got home at 3am, thousands of people laughed harder than they have ever laughed in all their lives...but why? Well it was the one off special charity performance of the Midnight Matinee of Dick Whittington, for Children over 18 only!

Jim Davidson but this show on to raise money for the British Forces Association, so it's only right I tell you all to visit www.bff.org.uk and if you like this review, why not donate a few quid to them...that's what we've done with our wages for this one!

Anyway, to say this was Blue and Very Rude is to lie, however to say it was f-ing blue and f-ing rude....well that would be slightly nearer the truth!

The big grown up kiddies are treated to the exact same performance, but with a slightly altered script, with different costumes and plenty of new props to create a hilarious evening of rude fun! Just looks at Jim's "Star Trek" entrance as we described in our first review, it's the exact same...but more notable for what Jim isn't wearing! Oh and the name Dick Whittington...we'll that's slightly changed!

The whole cast were amazing, not only for performing till 3am, but also for keeping the audience lively and laughing. They enjoyed it as much as we did I'm sure, everything about the evening was right!

It's amazing how when you take something for kiddies, and then make an adult version, how it's all the more shocking...yet scarily enough its also all the more funny.

Jim, Bristol Salutes you, for raising so much money for such a good cause, and entertaining us in such a way which we will never forget. It was truly unforgettable!
