Coming 2004, Cirque Du Soleil Present Dralion

What can you say about Cirque Du Soleil? It’s very tough to find more than 10 words, which mean amazing, so I’m a bit stuck! There is nothing on this world like Cirque Du Soleil and their latest visual feat comes in the form of Saltimbanco at The Royal Albert Hall.

Well for a start, what a Big Top! Its not often you’ll find a circus in The Royal Albert Hall, but its not often you get a circus like this, a blend of ballet, dance, humor, circus skills, music, lighting and costume to create a show which is so utterly fulfilling you feel that you should go on a diet after watching it.

This exquisite blend of the best of the best makes this show utterly astounding. But the bad news is, no matter how good it is, compared to other Cirque shows, its just not as good. True this is one of their earlier shows and they have moved on a lot since, but it lacks something, which the other shows have. But then again, even the worst Cirque show, is ten times better than any other circus I have ever seen.

It’s beyond stylized! Every movement, every character, every lighting change has a purpose, it all has been directed into such a unbelievable format that you just can’t help but to be astonished at how nice it all looks!

The lighting and set has all been designed to add to the show, and that it does however it is the live music which is astounding, it all sounds so good, so spectacular, so perfect. The acts are also quite frankly beyond brilliant, they are beyond words.

Each act was carefully structured to fit into the style of the show, and were all-better than the best! The young juggler was better than words, the two strong men were gaspingly great, the clown with such a skill in mime was as good as the exceptional Russian swingers, who fly through the air ready to be caught on a big mat, wow!

I cannot give enough praise to Cirque Du Soleil!

Saltimbanco is Cirque's most colourful show, vibrant, bright but with that classic Cirque twist. This is as close to the normal circus that you’ll get, there are clowns in the traditionally bright colours, yet each with stylistic masks and characters, its a piece of theatre, it’s a piece of performance, its a piece of dance, its a piece of art, it’s a piece of perfection

Over 6 million people have seen and loved every second of Cirque Du Soleil go on join them! Be memorised by an evening of pure un-adulterated joy.
