I don't know why I know the Blue Man Group, it could be because I've seen them on various TV ads, in the latest series of Arrested Development, have heard about their sell out New York and Las Vegas shows, or simply because, if you see any picture of the Blue Men, you then can never forget them.

However seeing the show is something else, if you can't forget seeing a picture of them, then the show will be imprinted on your brain for the rest of eternity, it's a visually stunning feast for the eyes, ears and soul.

Trying to describe the show causes me some problems, because in some-ways it's better to know nothing about it, however to loosely explain, it is a 110 minute extravaganza of comedy, percussion, beats, music, visually striking visuals....oh and blue men.

The early worry when watching the show is repetition, is it just going to be a one-trick pony, is it going to be repetitive, are you going to hope for the ending...well if anything, I hoped for never ending encores, I did not want to leave the theatre for the joy that this show brought me warmed my soul. The audience seem to revert to a childhood excitement and elation as the show eats its way into your conscious and gets you caught up in the action. Seeing this show is like being 6 years old and getting all the presents you ever wanted for Christmas, you leave grinning from ear to ear.

It actually takes a while after leaving the theatre to come down from the high, I was in a bit of a daze, everything seemed whimsical and wonderful, I was up in the blue blue sky with the blue blue men....it was like watching Smurfs on speed, performing in a truly mind blowing show.

Whether they are making music out of pipes or drums filled with paint, throwing balls into their mouths, getting the audience involved (oh yes, they get the audience involved...but not in a panto way, in a way that makes you sad if you're not picked to join in the fun!) causing visual mayhem with jaw dropping routines involving tv's, paint, and an awe inspiring moment of animation coming to life.

The show is perfect for everyone young to old, black to white to blue, got some foreign tourists visiting? Well this is the show to take them to, not a word is spoken, yet what they are saying is crystal clear.

The sad thing about this show is that there are not enough superlatives to do it justice, I laughed, I smiled, I had the time of my life. This is a dynamic, rhythmic, breathtaking spectacle of a show, it's so simple, three blue men plus a live band = perfection.

They say Einstein was a genius, well, I'm not going to dispute that, but this show is simple non stop genius, it's utterly indescribable yet utterly incredible. It's as simple as this, give you soul a treat, buy a ticket for The Blue Man Group....you will never regret it. I just want to go again, and again and again. Thank God for The Blue Man Group.
