TO STAR IN VAGINA MONOLOGUES’ TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO LONDON

The producers Mark Goucher and Sally Greene are delighted to announce that SHARON OSBOURNE, X-Factor judge and star of the hit reality MTV show The Osbournes, will star in Britain’s funniest and sexiest show, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES. Wife of legendary rocker Ozzy, Sharon Osbourne will star in a 6-week run of the show at London’s WYNDHAM’S THEATRE when it opens on Tuesday 5^th April

Sharon Osbourne will be joined in the three-woman show by further star casting, to be announced shortly.

The Vagina Monologues received its West End premiere in May 2001 and has since continued to tour the UK with phenomenal success. It has wowed audiences up and down the country, proving to be not only the ultimate girl’s night out but also compulsive viewing for men too – as The Sunday Times said “See it, even if you haven’t got one.”

Sex has never been funnier or more poignant than in this collection of highly original stories gathered by the show’s dynamic creator, New Yorker, Eve Ensler. Ensler asked over 200 women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and walks of life to share their most intimate secrets in ‘vagina interviews’ on such normally taboo topics as birth, sex, orgasms and relationships with truly revelatory results.

The Vagina Monologues has been critically applauded receiving prestigious nominations for Drama Desk and Obie awards in 1999 in New York, and a nomination for the 2002 Olivier Award for Best Entertainment.  The show is a global phenomenon with multiple productions in over 25 countries and open-ended runs in New York and Paris.
