In 1993 Wild Rose first produced the Russian Ice Stars in the UK with the Sleeping Beauty on Ice. Thus was born a concept of theatre on ice which has continued to be seen throughout the UK and across the world as far as Australia and New Zealand.

Now once again the Sleeping Beauty will return with a new production of this wonderful Russian fairy tale performed to Tchaikovsky's brilliant music. The show features the reigning Olympic champion gymnastic Gold medallist Ioulia Barsoukova, who will play the part of the cat, given to Princess Aurora on her l8th birthday. 

Favourite skater Katya Murugova will play the lead roll of Sleeping Beauty. The skaters are all former National, European, World or Olympic competitors and are regarded by many as the finest team of professional skaters in the world.

The company has recently performed in Monte Carlo in the presence of Price Rainier of Monaco where he personally invited us to return, and in the summer of 2003 the Russian Ice Stars completed a 3-month tour of Australia and New Zealand to great acclaim.

The Sleeping Beauty will be choreographed by Cavaliere Guiseppe Arena who became a member and teacher of La Scala Ballet Company in Milan where he worked along side Rudolph Nureyev and other great artistes. He is now regarded as one of the most innovative ice choreographers in the world. Guiseppe was recently recognised by the Italian government for his services to dance, and was bestowed with the Italian equivalent of a knighthood, and the title 'Cavaliere'. 

A magical fairytale on ice, this show looks as if it has stepped from the pages of Uncle Peter's fairy tales.
