‘Little Britain’-the BAFTA award-winning comedy phenomenon sweeping the nation- will tour the UK in autumn 2005.  The 18-date tour kicks off, October 23^rd in Portsmouth and ends, December 16^th in Cardiff.

 Peopled by the residents of Little Britain including, Vicky Pollard, Lou and Andy, Daffyd (the only gay in the village) Emily Howard and Marjorie Dawes, the world of ‘Little Britain’ is the twisted brainchild of creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams.  Alternately painfully accurate and whimsically surreal, ‘Little Britain’ is simply the funniest show of the moment and sure to be an unforgettable live experience.

“We started out doing live shows together but we haven't toured the UK since 1997, so we're really looking forward to getting back onstage”, says Matt Lucas. “We like to be quite naughty and spontaneous, getting the audience involved. In fact, we used to confiscate people's shoes so beware!”

“We are already putting the show together now”, David Walliams adds.                “Everyone's favourite characters from both series will appear including Vicky Pollard, Emily Howard, Bubbles, Sebastian and Daffyd Thomas. We hope it's going to be one of the biggest and best comedy tours ever.”

The show, which just won Best Comedy at the National TV Awards, is currently mid series on BBC 3 and will transfer to BBC 1, 9.30pm,             December 3^rd. The first episode broke BBC 3 records with over 1.8 million people tuning in to catch the second series opener.

The ‘Little Britain Series 1’ DVD has sold over 325,000 copies in its first month of release and is sure to be one of the must-have Christmas gifts of the year. Live recordings of the original Little Britain Radio 4 series are available now. A ‘Little Britain’ book published by Harper Collins featuring the complete scripts of series 1 is also out now.
