The UK's leading music channel, The Box, today launched its first ever UK Tour, Box Live flavoured by Skittles, the fruity multi-coloured candy.  It will be like no other music event this summer. It will be a unique megafest of cool chart music performances plus the chance to get up close and personal with the stars by participating in the fantastic interactive events live at the venue - At Box Live the fans WILL 'take control'!

The pop frenzy will travel to eleven UK dates throughout May with the tour kicking off in Blackpool on 21 May and heading to Hull, Nottingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Glasgow, Brighton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Cardiff and London.

Tickets for Box Live flavoured by Skittles, go on sale at 9am on Friday  4^th April.

At least five top music acts will perform live at each concert. The first artist who have confirmed to perform on the tour are the winners of Pop Idol The Rivals Girls Aloud, sassy disco princess Dannii Minogue, the sexy Mis-Teeq ladies, Platinum selling Mel C, rockin' Busted boys, the North London Blazin' Squad crew and the dashing Darius.  Details on more artists and which venues they will play will be announced very soon, please note that the artist line-up will change for each venue.

At Box Live the fans will be able to fully interact with the show and take control of crucial decisions both before the concert via The Box TV channel and during the show live at the venue. As well as magnificent performances from the artists, Box Live will be jam-packed with:

* 'Skittles Hot Seat' winners, which will be announced live from stage and
whisked from the crowd to get up close and personal with the stars
backstage. 
* Audience voting live in the venue, where they chose everything from what
songs will be performed to what the stars will wear.
* The audience will be able send personalised messages to the stars and
their friends via a massive text screen live on stage
* Box Live is looking for the biggest and most passionate pop fan in each
city and the winner will receive their award at the concert.
* Thanks to Skittles, throughout the show the audience will get to see
backstage antics and secret celebrity confessions live via the on stage
screen - there will be nowhere for the stars to hide!

More acts will be added to the line-up very soon but the choice of who, will also be decided by the fans. By tuning into The Box TV channel in the run up to the concert, fans will be able to vote for the Best New Act and the winner will perform live on the tour.
