OUR REVIEW

Southern California, the sun is hotter than it’s ever been, there are palm trees, fountains, lakes, screams, yells and 16 Rollercoasters…welcome to Six Flags Magic Mountain!  

Valencia is home to Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is one hell of a theme park, built into a mountain containing, fun, thrills, chills and spills for a the family. It is massive, absolutely huge and it’s collection of rides span the horizon.

This is the Mecca for Thrill Seekers. It is Californians must-see attraction for anyone who likes their g-forces high and their adventures adrenalin packed. It does however cater for the whole family, with Bugs Bunny land offering smaller thrills for the kids, true it’s no Disney and the younger visitors may regret the fact that a lot of the rides aren’t for them. The park really is there for those Teenagers and twenty-somethings who want a wild day out, and they don’t disappoint. The collection of rides, be it roller coasters, water adventures (including the joyous, yet slightly moist Log Jammer) flat rides and food emporiums.  

Holding the world record for the most number of roller coasters, means those are the major things, which you ride, and boy are they good.

Riddler’s Revenge is a stand up coaster, which holds it’s own record for being the longest stand up, and the stand up with the most inversions. It’s long and exhilarating. Batman is an inverted coaster that packs a punch. It’s non-stop, throwing you through all sorts of inversions at high speeds and high Gs, leaving you in a sweat! Scream, their newest ride is a floorless monster, which might look similar to other-rides, but is in a world of it’s own. It’s surprisingly adventurous and it’s plethora of zero-g rolls, loops, cobra rolls, helixes and corkscrews is a delightful addition to the park. Goliath is king of hyper coasters, viper is an upside down adventure but if I’ve not tempted you enough yet for a visit, may I just say one letter which must make you get your arse out to Six Flags, that letter is X.

X is not a ride, it’s something else, it’s in a league of it’s own, it makes anything else looks like a toddler; this is worth your entrance alone. A rollercoaster, which isn’t like a coaster, true there are raven, turns, vertical drops and suchlike. The seats on the side actually spin; the car is sometimes inverted, sometimes not, sometimes going backwards, sometimes not! It is madness, but bloody fun madness. At times you have no idea of where you are, what you’re doing, what you’re name is! It is truly brilliant; the vertical drop is out of this world. You are tipped, forwards, head first, facing a 205foot drop and zooming down it. There is no way of doing this ride justice, it’s a lot of fun, and is a manufactured miracle, it is a legend.

Six Flags Magic Mountain is an action packed, fun thrilled day out, with more than enough to fill two days. A love park with friendly staff and exceptional rides…oh and X!
