A quintessential Hollywood tradition, a picnic and some music under the moon and stars in the natural amphitheatre, which is home to the Hollywood Bowl.

Start your evening off hours before the show with a picnic, which you can take with you or purchase from the well stocked deli. Or sit in a box and get your food delivered and served directly to your plate. Then sit back and wait for the magic to unfold.

We were fortunate enough to be treated to The Treasures Of China. Spectacular delights - both musically and aerially astounding! Making their Bowl and orchestral debut are the incomparable Peking Acrobats, whose artistry and finesse will thrill and surprise! We mark this Year of the Goat, and the close of another season for John Mauceri and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, with fireworks that light up the sky and bring you better than good fortune!

And how lucky we were. The first act was a selection of some classics, played of course to perfection, coupled with some wonderful words from the surprise guest. The second act was awe-inspiring. Keep the same, wonderfully talented orchestra but add the skills and strength of the Peking Acrobats and you have an evening which will bring magical delights to the young and old.

The acrobats were stunning, kind of like Cirque Du Soleil, but not, no words can describe them. The fireworks at the end of the evening were a true send off. Spectacular and magical the perfect end to the perfect evening.

But what ever you decide to see, you are sure to take part in a truly original, and magical experience at The Hollywood Bowl. Universal Studios and The Hollywood Bowl are THE two things to do in Hollywood, if you miss everything else, even if you miss the sign, don’t miss a chance to visit these two.
