In the name of public safety Clifton Suspension Bridge will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from 07:00 on Saturday 17 July until 07:00 on Monday 19 July but don't panic, there are other ways of reaching this year's Ashton Court Festival:

Buses -

There will be a special bus service picking festival-goers up from 11am to midnight, stopping at WHSmith, Clifton Village; the bottom of Blackboy Hill; opposite the old ABC cinema, Whiteladies Road; and from outside Colston Hall.

The fare is £1 for adults, 50p children. The buses will be ready to pick up revellers at the end of the event, taking them back to a drop-off point at the Bower Ashton roundabout.

On-site parking -

There are still some on-site car parking passes available from Bristol Ticket Shop (www.bristolticketshop.co.uk, 0870 44 44 400). The passes cost £5 per day plus booking fee, and will be on sale until 12pm on Monday 12 July.

On foot -

It will still be possible to reach the site on foot (avoiding the Suspension Bridge) but we urge people to find a safe route and not to travel alone.

Great ol' time! Saw a great act called Dubruvnik in the Bath Ales tent, Does anyone know anything about them: Where they play etc?? I look it up on the internet, and I get loads of stuff about holidays in Croatia!

Most years the sun is shining bright, the music is eclectic, the drinks are flowing freely and the love is shared around.

Last year: too many pikeys plus a weather forcast of grim to shit = miserable atmosphere and fights galore.

This year: no dance tent = less pikeys?
